Advice on remap
« on: October 09, 2020, 08:20:27 am »
Hi.. new here

Just bought a Mazda 6 ts2 2012 model and I'm thinking of getting a stage 1 remap and dpf removal.. just wondering if anyone else has had this done and if they've ever experienced any complications with it?

Erm, do not do it. Just sell the thing and buy a faster car. There are so many of them. Try something like the same car in a Mondeo dress with the turbo Volvo engine.

Even with the promised remapped 200bhp, which is never 200bhp on the wheels, literally every other car will still be faster than you.

Remap and DPF removal means just unburned fuel and cancer.

Anyway, it is your money, and there are lots of companies which do this kind illegal activity for living with no bother from the government. All of them will have no come back if you have any problems as you step into the magic of modified engine.

The in-built problems of these engines is the chocolate strength timing chain that needs replacement on every other year. I suppose the extra power will not make any real difference to it as it is already defective.
