Patern sills ?
« on: July 22, 2015, 01:37:37 pm »
Hi I have just bought a 2004 6. 2.0td. Mechanically she is spot on with just a couple of servicing issues to address. Unfortunately both sills have seen better days, probably about 2004! Is there any supplier of patern sills or can any1 suggest an 'as near as' alternative. I have exhausted my usual suppliers with Mazda being the only apparent supplier, but not at ?400 a side !!!

Oh Well !!!
No Takers ???

Since original post I have now produced a set of sills for my 6. Being a mechanic who enjoys a bit of a challenge I purchased some steel sheet and with the help of a folding machine, guillotine and a lamppost (for forming a curve) I set about making a sill for each side of the 6. A relatively simple job but I would, of course, preferred to have purchased a pre-made, to pattern set.
