Xenon Headlights
« on: May 26, 2017, 05:09:05 pm »
Hi

Just got a 2009 GH, 2.2 Mazda 6 Estate with Xenon headlights, A UK Car, I am trying to get french registered and have bought a set of light units that are not Xenon. Is there a way I can alter the wiring to suit the standard light units

Thanks

Steve

Hi, when you go from halogen to xenon you add the ballast. Should't it be the other way around now? Somebody who does these conversions will be able to do it the other way around.

PS. How do you find driving in the other side of the road?

Hi apav

I have ordered some standard bulbs and wiring connectors, when they arrive I will remove the original units and get the volt meter out, I just want to get it french registered then its road legal here, In the future I may buy some french xenons and put it back as it should be

As for driving on the other side of the road, Its much better, Done it for years, I drive a artic truck around europe with abnormal loads.
