Hydraulic ramp
« on: January 24, 2016, 08:40:10 pm »
Hi,

Wondering if anybody in this forum uses a hydraulic ramp, if so do you recommend it?

I have see this one, http://www.cjautos.eu/product_p/cr02.htm

This one is only rated at 1000KG, cannot seem to find anything higher from their range around that price.     I think the 2nd gen car is roughly 1450KG from search in google.

any recommendations please?

Thanks

But surely you would not be taking the weight of the whole car. If raising the front axle, then the ground will still be bearing the load of the rear axle.  And Vice Versa
Look at life through the windscreen, not the rearview mirror.

I like the look of these ramps and if I hadn't given up getting under the car, because of age, I would have considered them. The 1000kg load is more than enough for the Mazda 6. If you have two ramps, the load both can take together is 2000kg, well in excess of the 1450 kg. You would need to buy 4 ramps to take the full weight of the car. i.e. one for each wheel, giving a total rating of 4000kg.
