No much to go on here to help us understand the problem. Can you elaborate a little please.

Fine. But that doesn't help us to diagnose the problem for you.   Have there been any other signs of problems ?

If you want us to help you,  then give us some more information. At the moment nobody will be able to make any suggestions based on the information you have given.

Some examples of giving more information:

The engine doesn't turn over
The engine turns over slowly but doesn't start
The engine turns over quickly but doesn't start
It starts after a lot of cranking but sounds rough
It starts then blows lots of black smoke

These are just suggetsions of describing your symptoms.

Based on your elaborate description of the problem I'd say there's something wrong with your cold starts.  Could be anything from a duff battery to a blocked fuel filter to a serious problem with the injectors or the ignition system, or anything else in between.

Simon1

If you are hoping for help from a forum community such as this, then you need to be more forthcoming with a description of the problem.

One sentence questions and answers are not conducive to getting any help what so ever.  We can't help you unless you open up a bit and explain in greater depth exactly what difficulties you are experiencing, what you have already tried to resolve those difficulties and are more responsive to the replies you receive.

Perhaps if you continue to experience the same problems you could try again and give us more information to assist a diagnosis and possible solutions.   Otherwise you are just wasting your own and everybody elses time in trying to help you.

It could be that it reads high and the car won't start for protection. Did you try to clean it? If nothing else works, you could try replacing it.

Its a temperature sensor, if it doesn't work properly, cleaning isn't going to help much as its a metal probe and not something that can become blocked.
