Hi all
A friend has a mazda 6 diesel 2.0 95 plate engine is broke any ideas of a replacement or any1 interested is buying it

If you DIY it, it will be more for the fun and not for the money.

If you pay someone else to do this work, you will be better off selling it for scrap and buying a running one for less money than an engine costs.

There is just 1 engine on ebay from a quick search and it is £400, i.e. the same money as buying a running car.

I have no idea who is paying that much money for an engine.

So before you do anything, do some market research, find out how much the car is worth, how much making it run will cost (that will always be a rough estimate), and how much another car costs.

And go to the local cash under the table type of breaker companies to check what they have to say. They may have some engines for you.
