TW White Orpington - any opinions
« on: May 27, 2014, 07:56:09 pm »
Anybody used them? Although I'm tempted to use Freelance Mazda again, TW White is less than a mile away and thus more convenient than Chatham (35 minutes away). Ultimately price and horror stories will decide (e.g. if the difference is more than £50 or they're a "stay away" I'll go to Freelance).

It has started juddering when breaking from NSL speeds and based on what I've read online it is time for new discs or a skimming. As the discs are the original on nearly 88k I figure it might be worth changing them instead of having them skimmed.

They are ok ... but compare the labour rates. Main dealer typically £120/hour vs Freelance £30/hour.

Don't get discs skimmed ..... it will cost £100+ per pair.

I bought new Mintex discs for around £47/pair and Mintex pads around £24/set from a reputable new equipment supplier through their eBay shop. Fitted myself. Easy DIY job

Thanks. Ended up with Freelance. They charged me less for new discs and pads all round than TW White quoted just for the fronts.
