But the economy figures for the supposedly radical Sky technology are disappointing. They are talking 60+mpg, but that is in 18 months time. The current 6 will do 53mpg and other major manufacturers already have models of a similar size with economy figures in the mid 60's (e.g. the VW Passat Bluemotion does 65.7mpg and even the 2.0 does 61.4mpg). By the time the new 6 is launched I predict that it will be lagging behind on economy unless they manage to achieve 70+mpg.

very nice bet it will be toned down abit for production, just read new bmw 520 68mpg, new tech, anti vibration pendalum gismo to allow 6 th gear @ 1500rev,s with no shudder etc, ironic but thats what i do in my 6 when crusing through those 50 mph avg speed limit roadworks and after 10 mins or so it can read between 50 & 58! mpg.
