As per title .
New to the mazda 6 . Previously owned the rx8
Done alot of reading . Some good some bad but then again you only hear when a car goes wrong and not when its running fine so obviously faults are going to pop up in a search.
Been offerd a white 2009 mazda 6 sport 185 bhp
141k
Full service history apart from 81k missing
No paperwork to say if cam chain been replaced
Been told i can take for £2450
2 previous owners and last owner 4 years
Should i walk away given no proof of camchain done ?
Any advice would be apreciated
Thanks
Dave

You could get an OBD reader and check the state of it before you buy

Got one aling with torq .
So a possibility but dnt think that would show any pending major failures

It will read Cam and Crank sensors, It gives you a figure... I believe a new chain will measure 7.48 and a worn out chain will read 10.45... Not sure where I got those figures from, Maybee someone with a bit more knowledge than me can confirm.. I think last time I checked mine it was 9.23
