Hi
I was wondering if anybody could tell me where I might find the sticker that gives me the paint code for the vehicle? I'd read that on some models they didn't put this on and you have to check with the dealer, is that the case for the Mazda 6 estate (2008)?
thanks.

I found mine on the inside cover of wing mirror!! Have you tried there?

Hi
I found some text underneath but i think that was just the part number for the mirrors. no other text visible.

As with most car manufacturers Mazda paint codes can be found in several locations. Most often Mazda paint codes are found on your chassis plate under the bonnet at the rear of the engine bay. They also can be located in the door shut on the chassis plate.
Since around 2004 later models will not always have a paint code put on the vehicle. The only option is to contact a local mazda dealer to obtain your paint code, they will require your Registration / Chassis number so have this available.
Also this might help https://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/mazda/2011/mazda6/
Google is wonderful.

Many thanks.
I'd tried google, and found the same. I just wondered whether anybody else had been more succesful and perhaps it was buried away somewhere unusual.
I suspect that you are right and I need to contact a dealer.
thanks for taking the time to reply.

I had the same problem as your vehicle is the same generation as mine. Looked everywhere, and the VIN plate on the vehicle was no help.
In the end, I had to contact my local Mazda dealer and they said that they got to search it either via VIN or registration number.
So, the best bet is contact your dealer I think.
