2006 diesel mazda6 wont start

Hi everyone new here so sorry if this is posted in wrong place.I have a 2006 mazda6 diesel sport working fine and no probs until this morning.I turned key car started and then cut out now will not start again have dash lights etc turn the key seem the starter motor clicking and the rev counter and speed rotat to max and then back to zero car does not start any ides ?

I would start by checking the battery and alternator out, the needle sweep indicates a flat battery along with the clicking from the starter relay, a good battery should show around 12.8-13.2 volts ish, anything below 12.6 and the battery is on it's way out. I would also check the battery connections, make sure they're clean and tight, plus the ground in the engine bay is not badly rusted.
