Title: Sport 2.5 and Takuya 2.0 equipment (2010-2012)
Post by: vitesse on September 27, 2016, 02:45:01 pm
As I am looking for one of these at the moment I must admit that after examining various cars on sale the 'standard' equipment seems inconsistent. I am seeing examples with no apparent parking sensors, rear only and front and rear, for example. I have no idea is either have electrically parking mirrors, nor am I sure if the later Sports have the tyre pressure monitoring system and whether any Takuyas have these. I am hoping that all models have Bluetooth for hooking up the phone and for music. MP3 now seems standard on the CD player. Part leather seats appear to be standard. My old Sport had dipped beam Xenons - presumably bi-Xenons on the 2.5 Sport are main and dipped. Does the Takuya have any form of Xenons? Hill Hold Assist - not sure if either model has this.

The list goes on ;D

If anyone can help fill in the gaps I'd be very grateful.

I have now discovered there are some 2.0 Sports available, if very rare. Is there any difference in equipment apart from the engine from the 2.5 (and diesels)?

The Takuya has Radio CD player, Blue Tooth ,  The lights are standard headlights as far as I know. No hill start assist. But it's not a  problem, decent handbrake etc. Climate control Air Con standard. Leather seats
with small of the back adjustment on drivers seat.
Maybe the motoring press reports can giver you the full specs as different models have varying
specs etc.

I think the problem is that there is some variability in the supply and fitment of certain 'standard' accessories and of course some cars come with optional extras. It all gets very confusing.

But I have at least decided I will aim for a 2010 facelift car; could be a TS2, or a Takuya or a Sport, all petrol engined.

Will do - it's getting critical now as the insurance hire car has to go in a day or two (my old 07 2.3 Sport was written off yesterday after an Audi 4x4 mauled it last week). Now wondering if I should get a diesel Sport after all...

Think I have found a car - it's being inspected today so I won't count my chickens just yet!
