Title: speaker replacement.
Post by: AllihiesMark on March 08, 2012, 03:41:57 pm
Hello all, i need to change the rear speakers (doors) in my 6 estate (2008 1.8) as the left one is sounding terrible. Can anyone advise me of a good replacement pair or at least the size/fitting of the originals before i take the doors apart. I live a good 2 hoursfrom the nearest decent shop for car audio and i don't want to be taking them apart twice. I'd rather have them bought before i start the job. Many thanks.     Mark.    ;)

Why not take your car to the audio shop and ask them to do the job for you? They'll be able to recommend suitable speakers.

Thanks for the quick reply Elwood. It would be a dent to my pride if i resorted to getting someone else to do it (and pay them for it) as i used to build doors for Honda in Swindon before i moved to Ireland. I would only put quality replacements in anyway but it would be handy to know the size beforehand. Got a bit of spare time tomorrow so i'll take a quick peek before the wife takes the car.   Thanks again.
