2.2 Diesel owner
« on: June 11, 2018, 07:29:36 pm »
I picked up a bargain 2.2 diesel last week and yes I know there's no such thing as a bargain when it comes to these as the engine is seized solid. I need to replace it and I've sourced a running one with decent miles in a Cat B write off.

While I've got the engine out is it worth replacing anything, like the timing chain or any seals which I now have easy access to?

Cheers

Bill

It is tricky to invest money in an engine you have not run yet. So it may be better to fit the engine run it and do the work as it comes up.
