Reversing Lights
« on: March 05, 2014, 05:27:50 pm »
Hi all,
Anyone help?

Started fitting my reversing camera today to my 06 Estate, found the +ve to the reversing light on the tailgate, connected up the camera to test and nothing then noticed the reversing lights now not working!! Easy I thought, got it wrong and blew the fuse. Trouble is I can't find any fuse gone (and everything else seems to work ok), bulbs are ok but now seem to have 2v on the wires to the reversing light rather than 12v as before??
Anything else I need to check (electronic modules etc?)
Any help is greatly appreciated as I am now peed off. Where would the reverse feed normally be taken from on an estate (for a towbar for example)

Thank you in advance.

Ash

I know some cars use a CANBUS reversing light system whereby you cant just tap into the wiring, you have to use the reverse signal to trigger the relay.

Just a suggestion.
