Trip meter
« on: April 04, 2017, 06:01:18 pm »
Hi folks.
Not sure if this is posted in the right place but when my low fuel warning light comes on the trip meter shows a range around 120 miles left of fuel? Is this normal for the 6? My old car warning came on at 50 miles left. Just seems a lot!

If you fill up,brim the tank,as they say when the light comes on, you should get an idea of what was in the tank
when the light came on. With mine the tank capacity is 62 litre.

I have the second generation car.

I have run it to the low fuel warning light and it only took 54 litres to full.

The remaining range was around the 120 miles mark.

My fuel tank is 64 litres, so there were 10 litres left.

The 120 miles remaining were a bit pessimistic but on the safe side.

In any case, try not to run it on low fuel.

Hi I would always recommend using the 1/4 full as your empty mark petrol or diesel  :-\ That way you should never run out of fuel saving you untold problems  :) And you won't pick up any crap if there is any from the bottom of the tank  :) So less problems for your complete fuel system  ;)
