"Write-protected" Sat-Nav SD Card ... erm, no!
« on: November 28, 2016, 06:23:14 pm »
I attempted to see if I could update the maps on my Mazda original sat-nav SD card. Installed the TomTom home software without a problem, but when I insert the SD card, I get a message saying the card is write-protected, which it's not. There is a "Lock" slider switch which I've moved away from the Lock position, but that doesn't change anything.
Anyone else tried to do this?
Would I get this message if there were no map updates available, either not released or because my device is not eligible?

Civilized, rather! I'll give mine a call and see what they say.
Meanwhile, I'm still interested to see if anyone else had this experience.
