Wing mirror motor lubrication
« on: November 05, 2021, 04:00:47 pm »
My Mazda 6,69 plate gt sport nav +,I just noticed the passenger wing mirror was not closing properly when locking car.
It's only done 5, 000 miles since new so surprised it's doing this, anyway had some wd40 silicone in house
so gave both mirror motors a spray or two and it did the fix.
I adjusted both mirrors  to full open so easier for nozzle to go in,i think a spray or two now and again to keep mechanism
lubricated would be a good idea.

Update on wing mirror not closing or opening fully,it's doing same again after being sprayed with wd 40.
So looking like a call to the garage is next thing to do,car still under warranty  so should be fixed foc.

Further update cancelled garage booking as wing mirrors are now folding in and out perfectly using button on drivers outside door handle. Didn't look forward to them taking the door panel etc apart,as my service experience was bad.enough with this garage, not enough oil used and dirty marks on cream leather and suede interior.
