Sold my 2015 Mazda 6 Tourer today (got another one)
« on: September 19, 2017, 09:13:38 pm »

Once again, my apologies for top-lurking.  I part exchanged my 2015 (pre-facelift) Mazda 6 2.2D SE NAV (above) for a 2016 2.2D Sport NAV (below) today.

Definitely not a financially astute move, but I'd decided that I wanted to stay with a Mazda 6 for quite a while but I missed climate control and power door mirrors (essential on narrow Welsh roads) that I'd had on my previous Mazdas and I wanted a DAB radio and better smart phone integration.

First impressions; I slightly prefer the steering of my old one (not much in it) and there seems to be less road noise with the old 17" wheels compared with the new 19" ones. However, the new car seems to roll less, I like the handling better and ride comfort is good enough. Interior is the biggest improvement, looks much nicer and I find the power seats to be more comfortable. ICE is also hugely improved from the first gen one.  Generally I'm really pleased with it although I may miss the old fashioned handbrake.

Love my 2017 saloon 2.2 175 auto imho best of the range and I think it will be a long while yet before Mazda finish with the diesel and I think there will be a good financial package to entice owners to switch but there has got to be a top of the range alternative auto or manual in either petrol or hybrid which there certainly isn't now mean while I'm quite happy to carry on with this car for a long time unless Mazda make me an offer I can't refuse.
Cheers Steve

I've been very pleased with mine.I think for a long commute, diesel's are great the (old one averaged 57.2 mpg). New car seems a bit quicker so had to check that I hadn't been given a 175 by mistake  ;)
