MAZDA 6 2008: STARTING ISSUES
« on: April 19, 2017, 08:20:42 pm »
Hi everyone,
I run a 2008 Mazda 6 TS hatchback. I have had it for several years without issue. Now it has problems starting almost daily. I have checked the battery, alternator, air filter, fuel filter without problem. The spark plugs are 2 yrs old, but I was told they are long life and should last 6 yrs. Has anyone had a similar issue or recognise mine?
Thanks,
Ali

Hello Ali, could that be the starter motor?

Hello

I've had similar problems with my 2010 6 1.8,sometimes it took ages to start and had an erratic idle.

I removed the throttle body it was very gunked up with crap, gave it a good clean, and now car starts and idles perfect. Next job is to clean the inlet manifold.

Hope this helps.
