New member, recently bought a 2011 6 estate
« on: December 09, 2014, 06:22:26 pm »
Hi there everyone, I registered a few weeks ago, but my confirmation email went in my spam box, so I didn't realise I'd been approved. Anyway, bought my 6 estate in October, it's a dark grey 2.2 diesel TS2, 2011 60 plate. Higher mileage than I wanted, but the car was a good price and I liked the colour and condition. I'll have to post some pictures up so people can tell me the colour name. This is the second Mazda I've owned, I previously had a mk 2 Mazda 3 MPS, which I sold to fund my house purchase. Now I have a big dog and a house, it makes sense to get something cheaper and bigger.

One thing I need to ask, on the drivers window controls, should each of the 4 switches illuminate or just the drivers switch? I've tried switching the locks on and off, but they didn't come on.

Thanks.

Just the drivers window switch. Once you find that, you know where the others are !

Ah cool, thanks for the speedy response! I'm glad I didn't set about removing the door card to replace the bulb! I wonder if you can light them up?

I would guess not. Just go drive it !!

I never look for the illuminated switch while driving .... I always go by feel ... day or night.

Hi and welcome. I have a 2.2 2009 TS2 estate in Galaxy grey. When you say yours has more mileage than you'd like, how many miles is on it? Reason I ask is that there isn't many high milers about yet so I'd be interested in just how high they can go. Mine currently has 81k on the clock.

It's on 70.5k now, we've done just over 1k in it already! I wanted one with about 40k on really. But it's finding one and then it's mega expensive. But having said that, there are plenty selling with lots of miles on the clock for a good price anyway, so when I come to sell it, it shouldn't be any different to the competition.
