Title: 2011 GH Hatchback - Fitting Beesting /Sharkfin
Post by: Craigy1D on October 05, 2020, 07:11:17 pm
Hi All,

I've got an aftermarket DAB head unit but both the FM reception (which is fed off the rear in glass aerial) and the stick on windscreen DAB antenna that came with the aftermarket radio aren't the best when outside of a city.

I'd like to get an FM/DAB+ beesting antenna fitted to the roof (realising it will involve removing the headlining and drilling through the roof) - just wondered if anyone has done anything similar?

Many thanks,
Craig

Hello Craig,

Maybe the problem is the new unit. Is it no name ebay special?

I have a standard car and I cannot believe how it has signal everywhere, especially when you consider that I only drive to the woods.

Do back to back comparisons of the 2 units to confirm that it is the antenna. If that is the problem, then buy the most expensive branded one.
