Welcome Lights on 2017 model
« on: October 03, 2017, 09:04:06 pm »
According to the manual, with the light switch set to auto, side or dipped headlights, the headlights should come on when the car is unlocked.  This doesn't work, has anyone any ideas on how to switch the function on?

I thought this feature only works if you keep the headlights stalk ON ?

Turns out that wasnt the answer after all!  Its just been mazda for 3 days with them trying to sort it out! Their answer is, basically, if there is a long time between locking the car after driving and unlocking then the auto going out light wont work, but if its a short time , it will work :o
Probably the most useless explanation ever for why something doesnt work the way the manual, says its meant to!
Does anyone else have my issue?

The headlights in our 2015 Mazda 3 are always set to auto, and there's no welcome lights.  However I seem to recall a time when the welcome lights were active, and it turned out that the headlights were set to on.

From my understanding of this feature I believe you have to keep the headlight setting to ON. It won't work in the auto position

Works with irregular degrees of consistency in both settings! It does my head in! With my Seat Exeo, every time, if it was dark enough to trigger the auto headlights, the welcome lights came on, everytime, for 6years!  I cant get my flippin car to do it twice in a bloody row  >:( :o

I keep my headlights on auto setting all the time but i turned the welcome lights off from the main settings menu. As i have turned the auto dip off and the lane change warning as well as i-stop and auto wipers off just don't like all these auto things some are good others just drain the battery and do your head in. >:( >:( >:( >:( :( :( :( :( I like to drive my car NOT it drive me ! CRAZY that is.
