3 child seats in the back
« on: March 12, 2018, 12:11:02 pm »
Hi All,

My wife and I have just found out that we are expecting our 3rd child!!
Does anybody here have any experience of fitting 3 child seats across the back row. If so what combination of seats did you use and in which order?
(I would need to fit a group 0 and two group 3 seats so, one will need to be rear facing)

I have a 2014 estate which we have owned from new. We both love it and would really rather not have to get rid of it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Dan.

Seriously doubt you'll have the space. I have a 2010 hatch and while your car is the newer model, there wont be much difference in the rear seat size/width. My two girls (5yrs and 7yrs) are in high back boosters and its a very tight squeeze to even get a booster (base only) when we have cousins/friend onboard so I don't see how you will manage a rear facing baby seat which are generally wider again.

It may be time to consider something slightly bigger.

You may need to buy different seats but this guy says that it is possible:

https://www.thecarcrashdetective.com/3-across-installations-mazda-6/

He refers to the sedan version.

If you can borrow a seat, you will be able to make the test.

Over here they suggest Halfords:

Maybe if you go there and ask them to test that configuration, you may manage to find out what is going. Even the dealer could do that.
