new member, new car!
« on: April 15, 2014, 01:41:31 pm »
Hi all!
I'm new here and have recently aquired a mazda 6 2.0d ts2 estate 143ps.
Having read up on them here I have booked it in for a dpf removal and performance remap at a total of £660 all in.
While its there they are going to drop the sump and check the oil pick up then change the oil plus filter.  (Shell helix diesel ultra afl 5w30)
Im keen to prevent any problems,  its done 94k and has full service history.
Is there anything else to look out for?
Thanks, mike.

Hi, Welcome  to the forum, PDF removal is not a good idea, As far as I am aware MOT rules are changing,
would be well worth checking before going ahead.

Hi, I have considered that but the garage reasures me that unless they look into the cars maps they wont be able to tell as the physical can will be in place and the seam welded on top which you wont see on a ramp. Emissions will be higher but still within limits....
Theyre so confident they guarantee there work.
