Sidelights - Canbus or Not?

Hi,

I've got a 2011 6 Sport. The Xenons give a nice white light, but the yellow tint from the sidelights lets the look down a bit.

I sorted that on my old car by putting in LED sidelights which gave a colour that matched the Xenons. Just wondering if I'd need Canbus compatible (use a resistor so Canbus doesn't think there's a bulb failure) ones for my Mazda 6.

I thought the same so I changed the side light bulbs for blue LED ones with no problems.

I don't think they are can-bus. I just wired up a tow bar and connected up the trailer lights direct to the rear light wiring without a sensing relay. Works fine without any warning lights or messages coming up. If it was can-bus or multiplexed it wouldn't work or throw up errors.. I hope this helps.
