Day Running lights
« on: February 08, 2012, 10:20:33 pm »
Can anyone advise me of thier experience with fitting running led lights as seen on most of the manufactures new models, i really like the audi ones, I'm just worried of issue with a non standard retro fit? Any pics?

Cheers.

I'm more worried they look a bit chavvy when fitted as an addition.

If it's a whole aftermarket lamp setup, with them inside the light maybe....

If not, they look a bit naff. Sorry.

You're better off converting all of your stock lights (side, indicator, adaptive steering) to LED for a more modern look.  8)

I think Mazda do official LED DRLs as an addon?

I don't think they look that chavvy, but £254 plus fitting does seem a bit steep...

Quite nice placement to be fair.

Maybe buy some chavvy ones and replicate the stock setup so they look factory?

Daytime Running lights not on Automaticaly ??
« Reply #5 on: February 27, 2012, 07:29:21 pm »
Hi

In the Handbook it says that the Daytime Running lights should come on when you turn the engine on ? , i have set it to Auto and Off , but nothing ??,,i have to turn them on manually . Does any one have any ideas ?

When it gets dark , all lights come on in Auto mode , so no problem there

Many thanks

From the 2010 facelift onwards this is no longer the case on UK spec models

For anyone that is interested a PDF of the EU regulations relating to DRL's

http://assets.dft.gov.uk/publications/dft-information-sheets/daytime-running-lights.pdf
Look at life through the windscreen, not the rearview mirror.
