Mk2 Cupholder Removal
« on: October 07, 2013, 12:52:28 pm »
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has had any joy removing the cupholders from the central console?  There are plenty of vids for doing this on a mk1 but not much for a mk2.  I can get all the clips off except the cental one at the back next to the armrest / storage bin.  I'm sure it's just a clip, but I can't shift it, and I'm really worried about breaking the quite flimsy plastic trim.  I think there must be a knack to it.

I'm trying to make an adjustment to the handbrake, but can't remove the trim to get at it.

Many Thanks

Dave

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I had already seen that one, my car seems to have an additional 7th clip that will not budge.
