Title: Rear Nearside Lights
Post by: Iendicott on June 18, 2017, 09:23:57 am
Hi all,

Just noticed my rear nearside side light is out. The offside is fine I have attached a document showing the issue along with the light highlighted, I suspect this is an LED as it appears to be a sealed unit, anyone ever had this and can replace it. The car is still in warranty period but don't think bulbs are covered but this is a sealed unit so not replaceable.

Thanks Ivan

Just an update, most of the lights in the rear clusters are LED and can't be replaced.
It turns out the unit fitted in mine was a replacement as the older one was cracked, it was replaced with the wrong one and luckily the previous garage has agreed to replace it for me as the unit is over £400  ???

I seem to be getting moisture ingress during wet weather. Is this a known problem or is it just my car?

Hi Geoff,

I have no issue with mine but the unit is a sealed unit apart from the indicator bulb which can be replaced.

Thanks for your reply Ivan, I now realize that the problem is with the reversing light not the Rear/Brake light unit. I purchased the car new in May this year so perhaps I should take it up with the dealer!
