WhatCar group test
« on: May 29, 2012, 12:46:26 pm »
Next month's WhatCar magazine has a group test pitching the CX-5 2.2d Sport (2WD) against the Audi Q3 and Freelander.  Despite concerns about depreciation and the quaility of the cabin trim it came out as the winner.  However, what really excited me was that they described the engine as 'the best 4 cylinder diesel we have ever driven'.  Roll on the new 6 with this engine in!

I expect the price of the new 6 will go up a notch or two, having seen some preview pictures of it.

It's supposed to be previewing at the Paris motor show in September and out 'early' next year.

Hmmmm, mine is up for renewal next September. If it looks anything like the concept cars then its certainly a contender :-)

Do you think the price will go up or will they just stop discounting so heavily?  I think most of us who got new 6's in the past year or more have paid a price that bears little relation to the list one given it's an end of life car.
