Drivers door problems
« on: August 17, 2017, 04:50:35 pm »
Hi my 2005 Mazda 6 TS D has a problem in that the driver's door won't unlock or lock properly with the remote fob. I can open the driver's door with the key fine and I can open and lock fine using the internal open/lock switch.

When I use the fob the other 3 doors lock and unlock fine. I can see the internal door open/lock switch attempt to move when I use the fob, but it doesn't move enough to open or close the door properly.

The door handle itself works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Considering that you also have a problem with the drivers door window misbehaving, it sounds to me like the power supply to the drivers door  could be suspect. Have you tried  to see it you can get a continuity reading from a volt meter on any circuit within the drivers door ?   Does the adjustable glass in the wing mirror operate from the switch on the door ?

You say in your other window posts that you have checked the fuses.  I think you need to be looking at the wiring loom.

Look at life through the windscreen, not the rearview mirror.
