Swapping standard 16 inch alloys for Mazda 17's
« on: November 16, 2017, 04:02:46 pm »
Hi Folks,

Looking to upgrade to Mazda 17 inch wheels from the 16's that came standard on my 2009 1.8 4 door.

I assume its a straight forward swap? I know fuel economy might take a slight knock but I really think the car needs 17's. Its the only upgrade I really want. Well i'm also considering a very subtle lip spoiler if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks,

DD

Yes its a straight swap and you shouldn't notice any difference in driving characteristics or fuel economy, for that matter as the wheels will have the same rolling circumference so long as you stick to the default 17" tyre size (225/50/17 as far as I know)

The 17 inch wheels fit 215/50 tyres.
