P0016 code
« on: December 30, 2018, 03:36:43 pm »
Hi can any one help have 2010 2.2  just replaced crank and 4 rods can chain  etc.  Rebuilt engine . Starts fine  when cold  but when warm  will not start  it sounds like it is firering but will not start  until cooled down a bit . It  puts up p0016 code   when I try and restart it . Could it be one of the crank or cam sensors breaking down when warm or have i got trimming out on chain or cams  ?? Any one please help

Try the above link

To check it, take off cam cover, and No 1 injector, using a dial gauge ,or a long thin screwdriver through injector hole, determine TDC and see where mark is on EX cam.
