SSH into the MZD connect
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:53:41 pm »
Guys,

Not sure if this has been locked down but I have connected my MZD upto my hub at home and tried to SSH into it to take a look around.

Not sure if Mazda has disable SSH access to the systems in the newer software. My version is 56.00.513 EN U. Anyone else been able to login to it ?

Regards Ivan

Please explain SSH  ?    Not everybody will be aquainted with your terminology

Hello Iendicott,

I came across a number of "hacks" to ssh into the Mazda 6 - just Google "Mazda 6 SSH", you have a few options. It seems all what you need is an Ethernet to USB adapter to connect your laptop to the car. It brings interesting options, such as fixing menus, adding drivers, link to Google maps, etc... According to one of these posts the system is an ARM based linux install.

However, these are hacks. So personally I would use with caution and stay away until your warranty has expired.

Good luck
