Twin exhaust on TS2
« on: November 19, 2011, 07:44:36 pm »
I was most pleased to receive my new TS2 2.0 with twin exhausts. I had these on my 59 plate sport diesel, but thought they had stopped doing these after the facelift (except the 2.5 petrol). Not seen any other facelifts with twin exhaust, has Mazda gone back to fitting these to pick up sales?

I have a facelifted 2.0 petrol Sport with twin exhausts. My understanding was that twin exhausts are fitted on the 2.0 and 2.5 petrol engines only, regardless of trim level. Diesel sport models only have one exhaust.

Thanks for the reply. There can't be many people buying petrol, as very few facelifts  are around with twin exhausts.

The 185 2.2D had twin exhausts, but the 180 2.2D that replaced it when the facelift happened went down to a single exhaust.

Anyone got any idea if a single exhaust car can be fitted with another exhaust easily? Would like another exit to make the rear more symmetric.

If I remember right. You should be able to cut it, as they did not change the bumper on the rear, they used the same for twin and single pipes one with an extra hole. But could be wrong.
