Does anyone know the disc screw size?
« on: January 29, 2017, 04:57:23 pm »
I've replaced my front brake discs and pads today, and ground out that the screws that hold the disc to the hub are missing.

Does anyone know if they are m6 x 18 or m8 x 18?

Thanks.

Measure the hole - m6 is 6mm diameter, m8 is 8mm diameter.

I'm sure you're aware of this but the small screws aren't really needed - they're handy for stopping the disc moving around during fitting, but the disc is sandwiched securely between the wheel and the hub anyway (once the wheel is on).  I did front discs & pads on a 2006 Ford Focus the other week and they don't even have holes for such screws/bolts.

I know it doesn't need them but I would prefer to put them in.  I didn't have anything to measure it.
