New owner a few niggles
« on: September 06, 2013, 09:56:46 pm »
I did post this to a reply to a previous topic but thought it would be better to create a new topic

Right I am officially a 6 owner

As with most purchases there are a few things that needs to be out right

Main bug bear was that the two of the dials light seems to have gone

The pic shows the right dial is lit up and can see in the dark and the two left dials don't have a back light. Any one have any experience in putting a new bulb/ fixing this issue

And think I have found an iPod this I want

It should work like this

I have same year and model as you. I fitted the Xcar link with bluetooth microphone. It all works well and the company respond to emails if you need to ask them questions. But the microphone is a bit weak, people cant hear me very well.

You need a fair amount of force to get the cup holder assembly off but its all pretty straightforward, mine's been off and on a few times

I also had the xcarlink for my old mazda 6 53 plate..

its a straight forward fit the only problem I had was that I needed to strip the head unit down and soldier a jumper inside to enable the head unit to select the Xlink.
