Oil leak?
« on: August 20, 2014, 08:14:26 am »
Hi, sorry I'm not the most technical and not really great with engines and I was wondering if anyone here could give me a little advice/assistance.

Basically I noted an oil leak recently under the front driver side of the engine. I've taken off the engine cover to see if I can see where the leak is coming from and it appears to be coming from a  pipe feeding into the fuel cylinders, just in front of the main engine block. Sorry - as I say im not really great with engines!! I've attached pics , can any one help identify what it is that I believe is leaking? I think it may just be a seal within the connection as the fixings appear firm.

Thanks in advance.

It is on the feeds to the diesel injectors. The liquid you are seeing is diesel fuel.

Plus if it's Diesel, you should be able to smell it.! No mistaking that smell.
