Mazda 6 sport key fob replacement
« on: May 21, 2016, 04:54:17 pm »
Hi all

Can anyone advise me about replacement key fobs. I really don't want to pay the  £200-300 it's gonna cost to replace them, each, is there another way around this, please help.

Regards

Gireesh

Sorry to say all the reports i have seen unless it's just battery replacement seem to point towards Mazda replacement  :( That's why it's so important when buying or selling  the car that both fobs are with it  :)

I would try a certain auction site, by the bay.  Members from the 3 forum have found replacement fobs at vastly reduced prices.  Try to find the relevant part number from your fob before you start,  to help with the search.
Look at life through the windscreen, not the rearview mirror.

Thanks for the advice guys I had already changed the batteries, thought I would give it another go, a careful clean inside and hey presto both fobs functional, I'm amazed it worked, I'm assuming the connection between the battery and contacts was obscured.

Thanks

Gireesh  :)
