Exhaust Emission Smell

2010 Mazda 6. I went over a item in the road (it was dark and wet)  and I there was a big thud! Since then I can smell carbon monoxide  in the cabin. Going to take the car to Kwikfit tomorrow. Any ideas of what the issue is would be welcomed
