Abbreviations - SCV & DPF
« on: March 15, 2012, 06:33:16 pm »
Probably asking stupid questions here but am new to Mazda 6 and not at all familiar to any mechanic terms,

Have found the forum very useful over the past few weeks and enabled me to make some improvements , however have seen the terms 'SCV' & 'DPF' used.
Sorry to sound stupid but could someone be kind enough to explain the abbreviations for me, many thanks.

I can't help you with  SCV  (Suction Control Valve) as my knowledge doesn't extend to that

But I can help you with DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)

Try doing a search for SCV from the main page. It will bring up all topics that include SCV. Perhaps you will find your answers
