Anyone replaced their Windscreen Washer Pump?
« on: November 26, 2012, 02:57:24 pm »
Hi Guys,

Can anyone please point me in the direction of somewhere where I can buy a replacement Windscreen Washer Pump for an '04 Mazda 6 2.3 Sport (petrol/manual....er, blue...)

All I can find online is this Universal one on Eurocarparts which I'm not 100% sure about: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Mazda_6_2.3_2004/p/car-accessories/car-components-accessories/hose-pipes-parts-and-pumps/universal-12volt-washer-pump/?BAR825&0&cc5_896

The original pump fits into a large hole in the tank - see attachment.  This might fit, but...

Cheers,

M

There is a company who do 2nd hand mazda parts called AS Cars.
Their website is www.as-cars.co.uk
Not used them myself but they have been mentioned on this site before.

Thanks - but I was looking for a new replacement really.  If mine's conked out, I can see a second-hand one being similarly reliable.

My front windscreen washer has recently stopped working. I immediately assumed it needed refilling so did that but still not working.

My rear screen washer is working though so not sure if the problem is the pump.

Any recommendations in how to test it to identify the problem before I part with cash for a pump which still may not resolve the problem.

thanks
