Will any Mazda 6 parcel shelf do?
« on: July 27, 2015, 08:49:26 am »
Hi all

I have a 2011 Takuya (hatchback) edition and looking for a second-hand parcel shelf.  I think its crazy Mazda didn't provide them as standard.  A tinted window isn't going to prevent someone looking in if you need to store something in the boot.

There are lots of second-hand parcel shelves for sale but it seems most are for 2002-2007 models.  Do you know if they are compatible with my car or are there variances between different years?

Thanks

Darren

As far as I am aware, all hatchbacks had a parcel shelf as standard - certainly the 2010 Sport that I previously owned had one.
As to whether an older one would fit, the car changed significantly in 2007 so I doubt if a parcel shelf from before then would fit. There were more changes in 2010 but these were only cosmetic, so I would imagine any parcel shelf from 2010 onwards would fit.
