Wing mirror part or whole unit
« on: July 19, 2014, 08:56:46 am »
Hi guys

Just bought my mazda 6 yesterday an 11 plate sport. I like it so far
but i bought the car with a cracked mirror casing. Its the black plastic that sits in front and around
the glass. I wanted to know is that a piece i can buy or is it one whole piece for the full mirror.
I didnt want to try and pop it off incase i made it worse ?

Thanks

Hi,

I had to replace the whole wing mirror on my 6 just the other day.  The covers are easily removed and can be replaced.  I got a whole unit and cover for £60 online.  Covers are next to nothing.  Some sites also offer the option to color match with your car (if you have color matching wing mirrors).

Just be careful removing the cover.  Use a small blunt knife to ease off the cover.  It will come straight out, but watch for the clips at the bottom that hold it on.
