Forum Rules & Regulations
« on: January 27, 2012, 09:58:09 am »
Here are some rules and regulations about the forums. Read them. Understand them. Love them.

1.   Ignorance is never bliss. Suspension and/or banning are definite consequences of breaking any rules listed herein.

2.   The basic ground rules for discussions at mazda3forums are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law (local or international) and don't post any message that even hints at advertising. We don't censor messages based on the opinions expressed within those posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined on our site. Administrators and Moderators reserve the right to remove, modify or move posts at our discretion with or without explanation. If you have any questions, please post them on the board. However, any post that violates the rules will be removed.

3.   You are permitted to create only one account. Any other unauthorized accounts will be deleted.

4.   In addition to the rules posted here, members are required to read any individual forum rules, these will be posted at the top of the forums as sticky threads.

5.   Posts containing offensive, obscene, sexually oriented, violent, vulgar, illegal dialog, images, content, or links to such will be edited or deleted by the Moderators depending on the content. Posting such material can result in an immediate ban for the user.

6.   We enforce a very strict policy regarding solicitation of our membership by participants.

Participants may not spam and/or flood the discussion areas. Flooding is regarded as posting useless information repeatedly on the forum and elsewhere on the site.
Participants may not use the site for commercial gain.
Participants may not use the discussion areas to direct others to any pages at their own website, including informational pages unless they deal with a discussed issue.
Participants may not post any commission, referral or affiliate links anywhere on the forum. These posts will be removed.
Participants may not bump threads unnecessarily. Bumping can refer to posting useless information, making corrections or updates in a new post, posting one-liners or any other action to deliberately keep a thread hot. Moderators will use their discretion depending on the nature of the post as to whether to take action or not.

7.   Using Mobile/Text Speak: Please do not use mobile-text style abbreviated words in your posts. It's hard enough for many people to understand as it is. Take into consideration the fact that we have many members from many different countries. However please do not criticize people on their spelling.

8.   Using all capital letters in posts is considered as shouting and looks rude. It also makes the text difficult to read. Please avoid using all capital letters in your posts.

9.   “Newbie" bashing will not be tolerated. New forum members are encouraged to ask questions and learn. Regular forum users are encouraged to be helpful   and courteous in their responses. All flames will be automatically deleted and the poster may be warned.

10.   Trolling is prohibited. Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude. If a post is ascertained as being of this nature it will be removed.

11.   No posting of personal information. Please respect the privacy of other members and do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses.

12.   We take the "be polite" rule VERY seriously! We do not tolerate ANY rudeness on the forums. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive will receive one warning (at our discretion), and if the member offends again the member will be temporarily banned without warning. An additional violation will result in a permanent ban.

13.   Finally, any abuse towards our staff and/or management will result in immediate suspension of your account. Threats against other members will be taken seriously and will result in a permanent ban and cooperation with local authorities if the administration sees fit.

14.   In light of our policy of encouraging candid, open exchanges of views and the rapid distribution of information originating from many sources, we cannot determine the accuracy of information that may be uploaded to the site and posted in the discussion areas.

15.   Opinions, advice and all other information expressed by participants in discussions are those of the author. You rely on such information at your own risk. Participants are urged to seek professional advice for specific, individual situations and not rely solely on advice or opinions given in the discussions.

GUIDELINES (POSTING) BEHAVIOR
16.   Stay on-topic and try to avoid double posting within a certain thread. Do not create a new thread if there already exists one on the same topic.

17.   Give new threads a clear title without unnecessary capitals, punctuating, humour, etc.

18.   When using the QUOTE button filter out the pictures and the unnecessary parts of the text as this makes things clearer. You can use 1 picture in your quote as long as it is not very big.

19.   All items put up for sale are to be supported with photographic evidence that the seller has access to said item. All advertisements not supported by photographs will be removed.

20.   Respect each other. If something offends you, report the post to the Moderation Team and allow them to deal with it.  Move on to another thread instead of giving negative comments.

21.   Check the last 10 pages in a thread for double posts to avoid repetition.

Please Enjoy Your Stay. We wish you good luck in every field of life

A 3 strike rule will apply to members who post such material on the forum or gallery.

Strike 2: Member will be given another warning and rank or rating on the forum or gallery downgraded.
Strike 3: Member will be banned from forum. The logged IP address will be blocked from accessing the forum too.
