Hi all right i have a 6 ts2 2.2 10 plate bloody turbo has gone how easy is it to fit?? Any one know or any tips be gratefull thanks ordering part this week should be fun

Just be careful if you do not repair it at a turbo company.

Otherwise, it should be a straight swap but have no idea how many days it could take to remove everything and put it back together if you are not a professional or done that before.

That is good. I have seen ads from local turbo specialists who suggest that usually turbos in most cases can be reconditioned without the need to get a new one. In some extreme case, going for a reconditioned is the only option.

What is your mileage and how heavily do you push the car?

Ye no point in cutting corners its a ex plod car i dont push it to much mileage 105000 full service should be done weekend thank god this cycling killing me

I see, unusual choice for a police car, they all get shiny BMWs nowadays. Your mileage is low for a turbo repair but I suppose it has been abused a lot. In any case, good luck with the repair and keep cycling, it is good for your health.

Nice that you time to work on the car, check the old posts about the oil pick up and the timing chain. Your car may have an ongoing issue with oil starvation. It starts with leaking injectors that cause the oil to circulate less well ending up in damaged turbo.
