New regulations at M.O.T regarding vehicles with D.P.F removed
« on: October 31, 2017, 10:36:59 am »
According to yesterdays paper the Government will bring in new testing methods to identify
the thousands of vehicles suspected of being run with the filter removed.
It states that a replacement filter can cost £1000.00 or so. These regulations  will be rolled out
from May 2018 at Testing Stations.
It states whilst it is legal to remove a filter, it is  illegal to drive a vehicle so modified.
Fines of £1.000 per car and £2500.00 per van will be levied on anyone  found driving/owning a modified vehicle.
