Radio Code
« on: September 25, 2017, 12:23:32 pm »
I have just bought a Mazda 6 ts2 estate 2006 but I don't have the radio code is there any way of resetting without a code as I want to change the battery but don't want to stuff the unit.

As long as the unit is still the factory fitted one you should be able to get the code from any Mazda dealer. They will probably need either the registration or chassis number and some proof that you own the car.

If you can't get the code - it's possible to change a battery without losing the electrics...
Connect jump leads from another car (or battery) to the battery leads, then disconnect the battery leads from the battery, thus powering the car's electrics from the other car, then change the battery, re-connect the leads to the new battery, then remove the jump leads.  Be careful that the jump leads and terminals don't touch against anything while you do the swap.
