My dealings with Aviva
« on: May 03, 2012, 03:32:10 pm »
My 2008 6 2.0D Sport was insured insured with Aviva.
I say was, as I flipped the car last week which has ended up with it being written off (see accident thread).

Every contact with Aviva has been excellent. They have been polite, courteous and understanding and when they informed me that they were declaring the car a loss they came in with a payout figure that was well above what I was expecting and more than I think the car was worth!

Having never claimed on insurance before I heard horror stories about low ball offers and having to argue up to what the price should be but there was none of that with Aviva, the first offer was the right offer and that to me and the wife was a massive relief.

Sadly in todays society it seems the art of customer service is being lost but Aviva have maintained a high quality of service and they made an emotional and stressful situation so much better because of that.

They were not the cheapest but they were not the most expensive either and they will have my custom for a long time to come now as a result of the excellent way they have handed my situation.

Good to hear a positive story as most people only post problems :)
