Hello Peeps
I've acquired my 2nd Mk2 Mazda 6 but this time with the 2.2 (180)
I used to self service using the Diagnostic port trick, and depressing the pedals.
But on the 2.2 it reset the oil dilution/service counter easily, the hardest part was the forced regen of the DPF. (Which took an hour to initiate)
But alas, finally I had a clear DPF.
I tried the pedal combination to reset the DPF reset. To which it didn't produce a flashing glow lamp lamp to indicate completion.
I've always been suspect on this, even since owning the 2.0 140 Diesel.
Anyway onto the injector calibration, I was presented with a glow lamp to show it was initiated, but no injector tone and no increase in revs.
Ten mins pass and still nothing has changed.
I gave up and purchased a switchable ELM327 for Forscan.
I had trouble again with the injector calibration again, and it didnt start until id disconnected the car from the laptop. Which then failed anyhow.
I've used the car for a week with no ill effects, and today tried the calibration again. Which passed this time.
Whilst looking into the PID for the PCM.
I've seen the DPF_REG_CNT for the active regeneration counter.
Would this be the value that needs resetting for the online diagnostic port tutorials imply needs doing?
If so, does anyone know how you reset this using Forscan?
I've looked at the options to reset the DPF sensors, but no counters.
I'm a little apprehensive resetting any of these, as I do believe these are related to a clogged DPF/replacement DPF?
Can anyone give any input on this please?
